The Religious Trauma Collective

Australia & New Zealand

Purpose

Our purpose is to create a space for people to land when the ground starts to move beneath them.

We want to connect you to resources including practitioners in Australia and New Zealand who understand Religious Trauma.

And, if you’re a therapist/coach/social worker/psych, we want to support your understanding of this complex topic.

We see the gap in healthy and productive public conversations around the impact of religious trauma in our region and therefore the support for people going through it.

We see the gap in the therapy space as many practitioners misunderstand or don’t quite know how to be present to what their clients are trying to find language for.

And, we see many practitioners and others who want to understand.

So we’ve created a collective.

What Will It Look Like?

What Will It Look Like?

What it will look like:

  • A registry of Australia and New Zealand based practitioners working with Religious Trauma.

  • Resource lists of books, podcasts, articles, interviews from an Australia / New Zealand perspective.

  • An annual online event to learn and connect with experts in the Religious Trauma field (stay tuned).

  • And in time, support groups for people wanting to process their experiences, and training for practitioners.
