Advisory Committee
We believe that true accountability and transparency are key ingredients in creating a safe, healing-centered space.
That’s why we’ve brought together four amazing humans who bring a wealth of insight, experience, and heart.
Matt Glover
Matt Glover is a counsellor, educator and forest therapist dedicated to supporting individuals through the complex terrain of religious harm and spiritual trauma. He has spent years helping people reclaim their sense of self and belonging after faith transitions. Matt’s approach is rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those navigating spiritual upheaval. Drawing on extensive clinical experience, he fosters safe spaces where clients can explore their stories, find healing, and rediscover personal meaning outside rigid religious frameworks.
Dr Josie McSkimming
Dr. Josie McSkimming is a psychotherapist, academic, author and consultant who has long explored the intersections of identity, belief, and relational dynamics. Specialising in the fallout from fundamentalist religious communities, she works with clients to make sense of fear, shame, and confusion that often linger long after departure. Josie’s therapeutic style is warm, inclusive, and attuned to cultural nuances. Through research, training, and clinical practice, she assists individuals in examining old narratives, building healthier relationships, and forging more authentic understandings of faith, spirituality, and their own inner lives.
Dr Joel Hollier
Dr. Joel Hollier is a theologian, pastor, researcher and educator whose work sits at the crossroads of faith, sexuality, and inclusion. With a background in pastoral ministry, he brings a nuanced understanding of theology, guided by empathy and scholarly depth. Joel engages diverse communities with an open heart, addressing the harm caused by exclusionary religious practices and doctrines. His writing, teaching, and mentoring empower others to embrace a more expansive, affirming spirituality. By fostering dialogue, he helps people reclaim their narratives and find belonging in spaces once marked by judgment or fear.
Lindy Jacomb
Lindy Jacomb is the founder and team facilitator for the Olive Leaf Network, a fledgling charitable entity that supports former members of high-demand religious groups. With branches in New Zealand and Australia, the OLN provides aid and advocacy for those who are in the process, or aftermath, of disaffiliation from a high-control faith-based group. Through the OLN, Lindy also raises awareness and provides education and training in the areas of cult recovery & spiritual abuse. She is also a former Baptist pastor and has a deep interest in the ways that spirituality and faith can profoundly impact individuals and society, for better or for worse. A former member of the Exclusive Brethren, Lindy personally knows the joys as well as challenges of integrating from a high-control environment into wider society, and she is passionate about empowering other former members of high-control groups to find their feet, voice and wings.
